Dining in Clearwater Beach

Some of our most iconic restaurants are right along the sand, welcoming visitors with fresh-caught seafood, cool beverages, live entertainment and unbeatable beach views.

With its brightly hued facade and famous seafood recipes, Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill is a must for those in search of the ultimate grouper experience. Enjoy fresh seafood and sip a frosty concoction on the beachfront patio and listen to local musicians play your favorite cover tunes.

A stone’s throw to the north, Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar is an excellent choice for casual bites around happy hour, or larger plates at dinner time. At either Rockaway Grill or Palm Pavilion, you’re in for a show if you stay for sunset.

Looking for a romantic date-night option? Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber offers a refined comfort food menu in an elegant, nautically themed setting.

Nestled in the glamorous Sandpearl resort, Carretta on the Gulf boasts a menu of globally inspired dishes. There’s a sushi bar here as well as a ceviche bar. Bonus: Amazing Gulf views will dazzle you and your date at sunset.

Looking for a healthy way to start your day? Head to Basimo Beach Cafe for avocado toast or a smoothie as well as some expertly brewed espresso drinks. They’re also open for lunch.

Steps from the surf, Barefoot Beach House has a walk-up window where you can order a grouper sandwich – no shoes necessary. You’ll find a ton of kid-friendly favorites, too.

For a casual lunch or dinner with a side of craft brews and live music, head to Badfins Food & Brew and savor fish tacos and yummy cocktails on the spacious patio. (Tip: The “street guac” here is a must.)

Want to relax with friends or family over a cool drink? Sharky’s Beach Bar has a fun list of shark-themed cocktails, a menu of happy-hour favorites such as jalapeno poppers, plus hearty entrees like house-made lasagna. Plus, there’s lots of outdoor seating with a view.

Enjoy live music, cocktails and quick bites at Shephard’s Tiki Beach Bar & Grill, with its sweeping views of the Gulf and Clearwater Pass.

And for happy-hour sunset viewing, head to Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest, a rooftop bar with 360 views of the beach and beyond – and a memorable drink list to match.
